I’m pretty sure the entire nation has been hit with more than their share of cold, winter weather.
This is a little glimpse at what we can look forward to, hopefully sooner than later.
Sweet peas, berries and ranunculus, these are the flowers I associate with spring.
Yellow flowers, what other color screams warm sunshine?
Daisies are another flower that says ‘spring’ to me. I know they are sometimes out of favor, but these little Santa Barbara daisies are so sweet.
Tulips, pink jasmine, ranunculus and asters {sigh}
All of the above images are from a wonderful site Small Studio + Studio Choo
So bundle up, but know that very soon we’ll be able to throw open the back door and sit in our gardens and soak up the sunshine! Happy Wednesday!

Karen,
While my part of the world looks more like the first picture in your post, I’m all about Spring now. This post helps me remember that Spring is right around the corner. After the winter we had, I can’t wait!

I believe this is the first year in a very long time I have been longing for spring. It’s been a very cool winter (not freezing temps cold, but cool).
Thanks for stopping by!

Karen…This is the worst time of year in my opinion. Winter is almost behind us and spring is right around the corner according to the calendar but not the thermometer. I think we are all extra anxious this year for it to spring forward.
Thanks for stopping by the cottage today.

Rosemary,
I completely understand, especially since you have shown us some images of the beautiful, but freezing snow that has been the norm this winter. By the way, as a Southern California native I look at your images and sigh with a longing for seasons. I’ve been told by many who live in a climate where weather can be so harsh, that I should be careful what I wish for! 🙂
Thanks for visiting and know that I so thoroughly enjoy your site!’

The flower arrangements you showed are the type I like best. They’re unstructured and more casual. They look like they were just picked from your garden – so appealing!

Hi Gretchen,
I believe the flower shop that designed these is up in St. Helena. I even wonder if we visited it when we went into to town while up there? I wish I grew all of the flowers they use in those displays, alas, so many pretty flowers to grow so little time! 🙂
