By now, hopefully you’ve invited fall into your home and heart! You’ve gotten into the spirit of the season and maybe grudgingly admitted that the fresh, crisp air invigorates you.
Maybe you’ve started a good book and have plans for many cozy weekends relaxing in front of the fire with said book.
Maybe you’ve decided to spend your fall season in Europe…me too! {I wish}.
Maybe a trip to Napa Valley, California is in the cards. What a beautiful time of the year to head up there. If you go, email me and I’ll send you some information on some of my favorite wineries and shopping.
Maybe you’re taking long walks down a country lane…boy, do I ever wish our “lane” looked like this!
Whatever fall has in store for you, I wish you all of the seasons best and I hope you are enjoying this time, a favorite of mine!

Karen,
I love fall also and I broke my own rule by starting to put out fall decorations before the first of October. I couldn’t help it . . . the weather has been so crisp and beautiful and the autumn colors are popping out everywhere. Loved your final photo of the cart piled high with pumpkins. Gives me an idea for my own front porch.

Hi Linda,
Yes, up in Washington I’d be ready to put up the pumpkins in early September…you’re very lucky to have such a wonderful seasonal change in weather and leaves.

Karen

OMG love all the images you posted. The country lane one reminds me of Connecticut where I grew up. It’s why this time of year, I yearn to be back East. While I love fall in LA, it’s just not the same. I was laughing at the commenter about is it too early for decorations. I was just at Vons the other day and contemplated picking up some pumpkins and gourds. Well guess what? I didn’t but this weekend I am. I’m decking out my front steps, my table, and my outdoor teak table. Cannot wait. If we can’t have fall in LA, I’ll bring it here LOL! Hope your enjoying this weather down South. I’m getting back in the swing from things so you should hear from from me soon 🙂

Hi Ann,
I cracked up…those of us who love the season really have to real it in to wait for October 1. I am putting my fall things out this weekend and doing the fall spread on the dining room table. I have to make sure I don’t let the pumpkins rot and ruin the finish, like I did one year!
Happy fall.
xo,
Karen

Karen, I’m putting out my pumpkins and fall decorations this weekend too! I love bringing the fall colors into the house. Now all we need is a crisp fall day so we can try out the fireplace.
I really like the new larger photos!

Gretchen,
The weather guy says its going to rain next week, keep your fingers crossed.
Thanks for noticing the larger photos…it’s only taken me a few years to get the photo thing and even then there is still editing that I don’t know how to do. Baby steps?
