My mother passed away 3 years ago, it’s hard to believe it’s already been that long! Still, I’m getting great joy in watching our oldest son and his darling wife raise our granddaughter. It’s the circle of life and there’s nothing quite as satisfying to me as seeing them nurture and teach the sweet toddler.
On this upcoming Mother’s Day, I wish all of you a much-deserved day of love and adoration, and a fun day with family. If you are fortunate enough to still have a mom to visit and celebrate with, cherish the time.
These are things that remind me of my mom…Thank you, Mom!
for introducing me to the love and joy of gardening
for supporting my hobbies and interests
for always being at my side through good and bad
for helping me out of a few jams
for all the time we spent together, talking, laughing and reminiscing
for sharing my love of antique searching
for making childhood fun and filled of love
Happy Mother’s Day this coming Sunday.♥
Reminder—next week I invite you to join me in celebration of spring! Link up your favorites about the season, the garden, home and or party you take pleasure in during this time of year! See you Wednesday, May 15th.

Beautiful post..both the words and the images. I wish you a wonderful Mother’s Day with those you love. Life has been so very busy around here this week that we haven’t made any plans for the day…but I think I am going to ask that it involve gardening – something that has been on hold for awhile now.

Debra, Thank you. I hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable Mother’s Day. The weather is supposed to be pleasant here in sunny California. (we had rain off and on the past 2 days!) 🙂 Karen

Oh Karen… this was lovely, and sad. My grandmother passed away two years ago, and watching my mother lose HER mother was terrible. Not just for how sad she was, but also because it was a reminder that mine isn’t going to be the exception to the rule.
I hope you have a lovely mother’s day… I’ll see you next week at your spring soirée. I hope the weather is nice for your garden party!!

Thanks, Victoria. Mother’s and daughter’s, one of life’s luxuries. I had a similar relationship to my maternal grandmother. It’s a little lonely when they’re gone.

Loved your heartfelt post and tribute to your mom. Mine is living on the other side of the country and I’m missing her as well, but thankful she’s just a phone call away. Wishing you a day filled with happy and warm memories of your wonderful mom.

Julie, Thanks so much. The time seems to go by in a blink. I was surprised it had been 3 years since my mom passed, I think of her everyday. All the more reason to live life today, right? Enjoy your Mother and Mother’s Day this Sunday. xo, Karen

Karen,
This was such a beautiful post and a loving tribute to your mom. It made me cry! I’m fortunate to still have my mom with me and I’m grateful for our relationship every day.
Thought your mom is no longer with us, she left a wonderful legacy behind and I know she was justifiably proud of you.

Hi Kathy, Yes, mother/daughter relationships can be rocky at times. Even though most mom’s are trying their level best! Have a lovely day and work on a post, I’ve missed you! Karen
