As my readers know…I have been feeling a little blogged bogged down lately. Blocked of creative energy, I took a little break.

I’m refreshed and renewed and I’ve missed you.

So, I thought it fitting to “meet you at the entry” to a new chapter of Garden, Home and Party. I’ll be posting twice a week (instead of 3 times a week) for now, or more if I get a burst of energy/creativity.

These images are some of my favorite entry ways. There is something so alluring about a great entry, simple cottage or manor house.

Hi,
I couldn’t agree more. A great entry makes you want to go inside.

After viewing all those wonderful doors and charming entries, I think I need a new front door!
Karen said:
LOL, that can happen when perusing beautiful homes. Your entry is lovely, I don’t believe you need a new one!

ohhhhh how I love doors and gates…they seem to have such a powerful allure from the well designed to the crooked and decaying…always intriguing to think what lies beyond. i did try to email you twice re “Eataly” but both of them bounced going to “L”Bunch, so i am glad you found it. Please tell your friend it is a must see and must eat…and to try to go on a weekday if possible.

Jermaine,
I agree…I love the allure of a well-done entry…old or new, the more character the better.

Karen,
I’m going right home and waxing the front door and putting up the fall wreath. My plants could use a little help too. Thanks for the inspiration.
