I’d like to invite you to drop by my house this morning, Sunday, March 17th,
St. Patrick’s Day…
We’ll travel through the countryside of Ireland, I’ll drive…
We’ll stop and visit a few of the stately homes…
Note: This post is pure fantasy. As it turns out this lovely structure (below) is located in Wales {thanks, Rosemary}

maybe even visit one that offer tours…
Since the weather is pleasant, I suggest we have lunch at an old church that has been converted into a restaurant.
The courtyard of the church has a lovely outdoor dining spot…
if it starts to rain we can eat in the sun room, equally lovely…
We have to try the restaurant’s specialty St. Paddy’s Day beverage, “Liquid Luck”…
Remind me to show you a favorite little tree house on the way back…
Here’s the key…
I know we’ll have fun visiting, enjoying lunch and laughing…I can’t think of a better way to spend the day! ♥ Karen

Hi Leslie,
Happy you can join me (or should I say, happy you joined me—I’m a bit late responding!). It’s a fun way to tour, isn’t it?
Hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day.
xo,

You won’t believe me, but I didn’t even realize it was St Patrick’s day… I guess I need to leave my bubble more often.
Lots of luck today… or green beer. Whichever is more up your alley. (Kidding, pretty sure you’re not the green beer type.)
Karen B. said:
Victoria, Sunday doesn’t seem the proper day for a green beer celebration, in fact, I think the parade in Boston took place yesterday because it would be irreverent (according to the parade planners) to hold it on a Sunday. Oh, Victoria, how you underestimate me…I could totally hoist a green beer, but it would most probably be a Chardonnay…more my beverage for celebrating. 🙂 Karen

Sounds good! I think we can pretty much count on the rain. It’s good you made plans for inside too!

Glenys, Oh, if this is what Wales looks like I would love to visit your fair country someday. Hope you had a relaxing day! Karen

I never really know how to celebrate St Patrick’s Day properly since I don’t like beer and I’m not too fond of corned beef either! I would much rather join you on your fantasy tour through Ireland. I loved everything about it – the car, the scenery, the stone house, and even that little tree house! Thanks for providing me with images of the perfect St. Patrick’s Day.
Karen B. said:
Gretchen, I’ve recently learned, from a very reliable source, that corned beef isn’t a typical Irish St. Patrick’s Day food. I lean towards beef stew. But it would be such fun to tour the Irish countryside and stop for lunch. Xo, Karen

Wow, what gorgeous photos! I especially love nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4. Now what is it about old houses covered in green folliage (wisteria, virginia creeper) that make them utterly irresistible! love that green convertible too!
Karen B. said:
Hi Jenny, I know some of these images can be found in the countryside not far from where you live! I hope you had a relaxing St. Patrick’s Day, my friend. xo, Karen
